Guelph business hit twice in 7 hours by thief

A Guelph business was hit by a thief twice in the span of seven hours over the weekend. Guelph police said Saturday, just before midnight, officers went to a business on Quebec Street after the business' IT person observed someone on camera attempting to pry open a rear door. Officers attended quickly, police said, but the suspect had fled. Pry marks were observed around the locking mechanism, and a small amount of cash was reported missing. In the morning, at about 6:20 a.m., business staff said the building was entered a second time and a 'further theft' was reported. The suspect was described as a man, five-feet, 10-inches tall, with a medium build. He was wearing red shorts with white writing on the leg, black and white high-top sneakers and a dark long-sleeved shirt pulled up to conceal his face. Anyone with information can call Const.
