Igho 'Tiny' Ubiribo, a Nigerian content creator living in London, died on March 6, less than a day after he received hyaluronic acid penis filler injections at a clinic in Bangkok, Thailand, according to Westminster Coroner's Court inquest records previously obtained by PEOPLE. During an inquest hearing for Ubiribo on Aug. 21, a court heard that a post-mortem examination and toxicology inquiry found that his cause of death was the hyaluronic acid injection and a pulmonary embolism, the inquest records said. On Sept. 7, Thailand's Ministry of Public Health said in a statement that Minister Pattana Phromphat had directed the country's Department of Health Service Support (DHSS) and Food and Drug Administration (FDA) to investigate the clinic where Ubiribo received the filler injections. According to the statement, Phromphat told local media that initial investigations by Thai authorities found that an emergency medical center was contacted by a private hospital in Bangkok to dispatch an ambulance for an unconscious patient. Instagram According to inquest records obtained by PEOPLE, Ubiribo began complaining of chest pains and collapsed on March 5 several hours after the cosmetic procedure, and he was rushed to a local hospital to receive a CT scan, though he lost consciousness before doctors could perform it. He received CPR for 101 minutes before he was pronounced dead at 1:05 a.m. on March 6, the records added. DHSS Director-General Phuwadet Surakot told local media that authorities inspected the clinic to gather information about its compliance with medical standards on Sept. 7 but did not name the clinic, the Ministry of Public Health statement continued. Surakot said that the clinic's management claimed Ubiribo had been a patient at the clinic since 2024 and had received five penile enlargement injections. Clinic management also said that a doctor had advised him ahead of his March 5 injection to split the procedure into two sessions, but he had requested the injection be conducted in a single session, Surakot said. The clinic also claimed that Ubiribo had signed a treatment consent form before every visit, that it had always provided Ubiribo with aftercare instructions and that he had never reported any problems related to the procedures, Surakot added.
