ADOC nabs three in contraband arrests, finds drones, drugs, cell…

The Alabama Department of Corrections (ADOC) recently arrested three individuals after discovering contraband during a traffic stop near Donaldson Correctional Facility in Jefferson County. ADOC narcotics agents and K-9 handlers conducted a probable-cause traffic stop outside the facility late last week. During the search, police discovered a taped package containing contraband, leading to the arrest of the vehicle's three occupants. The package contained: · 15.90 grams of Hydrocodone tablets · 1 pound of marijuana. · One DJI Mavic 3 drone, which costs over $1,000. · Two cell phones. · Wireless AirPods and charging cords. Naveah Effie Hill of Huntsville was charged with trafficking in opiates, first-degree conspiracy to promote prison contraband and first-degree possession of marijuana. T'Nya Alyse Howard, also of Huntsville, was charged with conspiracy to promote prison contraband. Christopher A. Nelson of Montgomery was charged with first-degree conspiracy to promote prison contraband and second-degree possession of marijuana. All three were transported to the Jefferson County Jail in Bessemer. All three are no longer listed as inmates on the jail's roster.
