Records broken at sold out Cotswolds Classic 10-mile running race

Records were broken in the Cotswolds Classic 10-mile running race, which saw representatives from 36 running clubs between 17-years-old and 73-years-old competing. New male and female records were set at this year's Witney Roadrunner's Cotswold Classic 10-mile road race, which was held on Saturday, September 5. Race director Harriet Wise said: "In what was the second sell out year in a row for the 40-year-old event, we saw records broken, with both the male and female winners breaking the course record." Meanwhile Natasha Roebuck of Witney Roadrunners beat her own record, set in 2025, by 48 seconds, achieving a time of 1:03:10:2 (1 hour, 3 minutes, 10.2 seconds). The race began at The King's School in Witney and saw runners head up to New Yatt and then go in a loop, passing near Ramsden and going through East End and North Leigh before heading back towards Witney. Ms Wise added: "Runners enjoyed the enthusiastic support of over 90 marshals around the course, and a new surprise for 2026 – the Wood Green School Brass Band in action at the top of 'Hillzakilla' - the race's biggest hill. "They were rewarded at the end with a custom can of Little Ox Daydreamer Beer and a long-sleeved technical t-shirt. "
