Bangladesh and Oman are reserve teams, while a replacement team could be included if Pakistan does not participate, Hockey India Secretary Bhola Nath Singh said. NEW DELHI, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 17th Sep, 2026) Hockey India has rejected the Pakistan Hockey Federation's request to hold Pakistan's matches at a neutral venue for the Asian Hockey Champions Trophy in India. Hockey India Secretary Bhola Nath Singh said the tournament venue would not be changed and that Pakistan would have to travel to India if it wanted to participate. He said Bangladesh and Oman were included as reserve teams, adding that a replacement team could be included if Pakistan did not participate. The Asian Hockey Champions Trophy is scheduled to be held in Mohali and Jalandhar from 27 October to 5 November. The PHF had requested that the tournament or Pakistan's matches be shifted to a neutral venue. The PHF has said that, given the current situation, the Pakistan team cannot be sent to India.
