You can get double points when booking a Royal Caribbean Group cruise for a limited time.
Following on the heels of Royal Caribbean's recent Double Points promotion, Celebrity Cruises is now offering its own opportunity for eligible guests to earn double Captain's Club points on select sailings.
The limited-time Labor Day promotion gives travelers an added incentive to book their next Celebrity cruise, especially for those keen on climbing the loyalty ladder.
Like the Crown & Anchor Society, Celebrity's Captain's Club offers meaningful rewards to loyal cruisers, with benefits ranging from Wi-Fi discounts to complimentary alcoholic beverages, priority tendering, and even free sailings.
Celebrity Cruises double points promotion
Beginning Sept. 8, new cruises booked qualify for the double points offer. Targeting the cruise line's loyalty members, the Double Points offer is exactly what it sounds like: Customers who book a cruise during the promotion will get double the normal number of Captain's Club loyalty points when cruising.
For example, if you book a seven-night cruise in a Veranda cabin, you'll earn 42 points versus 21. The same goes for luxurious suites, where you could earn over 330 points on a weeklong voyage.
Solo travelers will earn three times the points compared to normal sailings, too.
New cruises booked between Sept. 8 — 21, 2026, on select sailings departing Oct. 01, 2026 — April 30, 2027, will receive double the cruise points once completed.
According to the cruise line, the Double Points Offer is combinable with Brand offers (BOGO75, Free 3rd & 4ths, Instant Savings and Onboard Credit Flash Sales, Weekend Flash Sales, and Book Now Bonus), restricted Tactical Offers (for example, Seniors, Residents, Military), Exciting Deals, GroupX, Employee Friends & Family Promo Codes, Brand Targeted offers, Captain's Club Discounts, Shareholder Benefits, CUGs, and future cruise certificate bookings redeemed during the Offer Period.
That said, Double Points are only applied to the first two eligible sailings that depart within the promotional window. Any additional sailings after that will earn standard loyalty points.
You can't apply the Double Points promotion to existing bookings, either. This means that if you booked a Celebrity cruise last week, you won't be able to retroactively add the promotion to that reservation. You'd have to completely cancel and rebook to take advantage of Double Points.
MoveUp bids, along with Transatlantic and Transpacific sailings, also don't qualify for Double Points.
BEWARE: Celebrity double points offer won't transfer to Royal Caribbean
Earlier this year, Royal Caribbean Group launched the Points Choice Program, allowing cruisers to earn loyalty points when cruising on any cruise line within the Royal Caribbean Group portfolio. This means that, generally, you can transfer points from a Celebrity sailing to the Royal Caribbean loyalty program.
Unfortunately, there are stipulations, particularly regarding special promotional points. For example, when Royal Caribbean offered its own Double Points promotion, cruisers couldn't transfer the bonus points to a different cruise line through the Points Choice program.
Likewise, extra Captain's Club points earned through this promotion can't be transferred to Royal Caribbean's Crown & Anchor Society.
"Under the Points Choice program terms and conditions, promotional or bonus Club Points—including Double Club Points earned through this promotion—are excluded from Points Choice and cannot be transferred to another loyalty program," Celebrity's website states.
Should you transfer your Celebrity points to the Crown & Anchor Club, you'd forfeit the promotional bonus. In other words, the double points cannot become double Crown & Anchor points.
The Celebrity Double Points offer is rare
Just like the Royal Caribbean Double Points promotion, Celebrity's current offer is rare. The last time it was offered for Celebrity cruisers was during the early post-pandemic restart period.
Any loyal cruisers who take advantage of the ongoing promotion can work their way up the Captain's Club ranks faster, potentially reaching tiers like Elite, Elite Plus, and Zenith in fewer voyages.
These levels are where the loyalty benefits really pay off, with higher-tier members unlocking valuable perks like complimentary laundry, free happy hours, priority tendering, and more.
Plus, since Celebrity loyalty status doesn't expire, these benefits never go away. Anyone serious about attaining higher status will likely find great value in this Double Points offer since it can help you shoot up the loyalty ladder.
The Celebrity cruise loyalty levels are as follows:
