Dabo Swinney, Clemson Land Positive Update on 5-Star WR Target

Despite the Clemson Tigers getting blown out in Week 1 of the new college football season to LSU, the program could be on the verge of landing a top prospect. Clemson was named in a final list of 12 schools for five-star wide receiver Braylon Clark. Clark told insider Hayes Fawcett of Rivals that the Tigers had made the cut. Clark would be part of the recruiting class of 2028. Clemson could get a massive boost to the program if they were to land his services. This could loom large for the Tigers, especially if Clark has a preference to land in either of those conferences. But given that they made the cut on his final list of 12 teams, it's safe to say that he is at least considering the Tigers. Clemson has done well with wide receiver products over the years, but this could be an uphill battle to land Clark. Clark has the tools to become a true top option for any offense down the line. The 6-foot-3 wide receiver uses his size and athleticism to his advantage, gaining the edge on any defenders. The entire college football world has changed with the addition of NIL, and Clemson has fallen behind a little. But in the end, this program is still a top one in the country, giving them a chance to earn Clark's attention. There is no timeline for his decision, but Clark will continue to narrow down his list of teams as time goes on.
