Launches five-day Sindh tour to mobilise PTI workers for September 27 Islamabad Long March Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Sohail Afridi during an interview with Hamid Mir. — Screengrab via Geo News Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Muhammad Sohail Afridi has arrived in Sindh on a five-day visit to lead Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf's (PTI) Street Movement as part of preparations for the September 27 Islamabad Long March. Upon his arrival in Sindh, the Chief Minister received an enthusiastic welcome from PTI's local leadership, workers and supporters. Members of the K-P cabinet, along with central and provincial leaders of PTI, are accompanying him during the visit. The Chief Minister is scheduled to hold meetings with local political leaders and party workers in different parts of Sindh to strengthen organisational preparations and mobilise supporters for the planned Long March. Addressing PTI workers at Kamo Shaheed on the Sindh-Punjab border, Sohail Afridi thanked the people of Sindh for what he described as a warm and overwhelming reception. He said he had also received an enthusiastic welcome during his previous visit, but the public response witnessed this time suggested that earlier records of support and participation could be surpassed. He asked the gathering whether they wished to march towards D-Chowk in Islamabad or remain focused on Karachi, drawing loud responses from the workers. The Chief Minister said the people of Sindh were fully aware of the political realities of the province and had witnessed the injustices and deprivation faced by ordinary citizens. Despite governments remaining in power in Sindh for decades, he said, the people had not received their due rights or their rightful share of development. Sohail Afridi said PTI founder Imran Khan would ensure that the people of Sindh received their rightful share and development opportunities. He maintained that PTI stood firmly with the people of Sindh and would continue to support them openly and without hesitation. He said the people of Sindh, in return, were standing steadfastly with Imran Khan. At Mureed Shakh, the Chief Minister thanked PTI leaders, workers and youth for their enthusiastic reception and urged them to maintain their spirit of mobilisation. He called upon workers to carry the party's message to every corner of the country and make full preparations for the September 27 Islamabad Long March.
