NetEase Games has officially revealed Marvel Rivals Season 10: Butcher's Blasphemy. This season kicks off with Gorr the God Butcher… well, butchering some gods. A cinematic trailer for the season has revealed its subtitle and the apparent death of Loki, the god of mischief. At the time of writing, Loki has been disabled in Quick Play mode, with his icon on the character selection screen marked with an ominous red stamp. Watch the trailer below: Marvel Rivals Season 10 storyline explained NetEase Games' launch cinematic for Marvel Rivals Season 10 reveals the arrival of Gorr the God Butcher, a formidable foe from the pages of Jason Aaron and Esad Ribic's Thor: God of Thunder comic series (2013). In this trailer, Gorr faces off with Thor and his brother Loki using his Necrosword, and apparently manages to kill Loki wholly. However, a teaser at the end of the video sees a singular feather fall onto Loki, in an apparent nod towards Loki claiming the Phoenix Feather at the end of the recent in-game Shenloon Tournament. Hence, he might just be reborn in the near future. The in-game Yggsgard map has been rendered black and white, signalling the arrival of Gorr in-game. Is Gorr a Duelist in Marvel Rivals Season 10? Gorr is joining Marvel Rivals as a melee-focused Duelist character in Season 10. Interestingly, Gorr will be this season's sole new playable character, which means that we won't be getting two playable characters this season as per usual. Gorr is able to relentlessly execute enemies and absorb their flesh, converting them into Black Berserkers. Gorr then uses this army of Black Berserkers to attack enemies in battle. These Black Berserkers function as independent AI-controlled enemies in battle, much like Magik's Minions. His Necrosword also allows him to travel across the battlefield quickly. In combat, Gorr wields both the Necrosword and a scythe, the latter of which affords him more range. His ultimate ability empowers his Necrosword considerably, allowing him to temporarily deal devastating amounts of damage. All-new content in Marvel Rivals Season 10, including new map, Avengers modes, and pyjama party costumes Marvel Rivals Season 10 is introducing a brand-new map called the God Quarry, described as a graveyard of gods. The map will launch on 24 September, 2026. Gorr plans to bring the Faith-harvesting Engine to the God Quarry to kill all gods simultaneously, which gives this map pretty close relevance to the seasonal story arc. Additionally, pyjama-themed skins are coming to several Marvel heroes in Season 10, including Cloak & Dagger, Jeff the Land Shark, Magneto, Luna Snow, Mantis, Rogue, and Daredevil. A brand-new Jeff's Dream Eater event will also follow the 17 September update, granting players new matching costumes and cosmetic rewards. Galacta's Gift is also returning in a 24 September update, allowing players to earn a Costume Coin by participating. In Marvel Rivals Season 10.5, Phase 3 and Phase 4 of the Marvel Cinematic Universe-themed Path to Doomsday events will launch consecutively, rather than a second new playable hero like usual. These will be brand-new game modes, with additional information coming closer to the launch of Season 10.5. Two new heroes are coming in Season 11, however, so Season 10 appears to be a one-off single-hero season for the game this year. Marvel Rivals Season 10 balance changes explained Be prepared: balance changes are coming to roughly 70% of Marvel Rivals' playable roster. On the Vanguard front, Magneto, The Thing, and The Hood are getting their survivability and damage output nerfed. Meanwhile, Captain America, Emma Frost, Devil Dinosaur, Rogue, and Deadpool (Vanguard) are getting buffed. As for Duelists, Black Cat's invincibility frames are getting nerfed in exchange for some extra buffs. Winter Soldier, Elsa Bloodstone, Black Widow, and Magik are also getting nerfed. Duelists like Namor, Star-Lord, Iron Fist, Wolverine, and Psylocke are conversely getting buffed. Scarlet Witch is getting a pretty big overhaul to her ability kit, including a new passive ability that lets her apply Chaos Marks on enemies. She can gain bonus health by attacking enemies with Chaos Marks, as well as attack multiple enemies who bear the debuff. Scarlet Witch is also getting a new shockwave-like ability called Scarlet Hex that applies Chaos Marks upon hit. Her ultimate ability will also now deal continuous damage while winding up to its full explosion. Now, onto Strategists. Strategists are getting an across-the-board nerf to their ultimate ability energy conversion efficiency in Season 10. Additionally, Cloak & Dagger and Mantis are getting unique nerfs, while Jeff the Land Shark, Loki, and White Fox get their own sets of buffs. Marvel Rivals Season 10 ban rules changes explained Ban rules are also changing for Competitive Mode. Regardless of which team bans a hero, that hero will be unplayable for both sides for the rest of the match. The new ban system will be applied to players in Gold III rank and above. Marvel Rivals Season 10 launches on 11 November, 2026.
