Police would continue to have a presence in the area after responding last night, said Bay of Plenty Acting District Commander Inspector Logan Marsh. 'Cordons and a scene guard remain in place, however there is no threat to the wider community.' Further details will be released proactively when they become available, Marsh said. A Hato Hone St John spokesman confirmed the ambulance service was called at 10.26pm. Further inquiries were referred to police. "Sometimes, if they were available, I'd put pillows down the centre," he told the court.
