DIK police arrest 14 suspects, recover arms, stolen bikes

DERA ISMAIL KHAN - Dera Ismail Khan Police have arrested 14 suspects, including a proclaimed offender wanted in a murder case, and recovered weapons, stolen motorcycles, mobile phones and gambling stakes during separate operations. According to a police spokesman on Sunday, on the directives of District Police Officer (DPO) Dera Ismail Khan Ziauddin Ahmad, under the supervision of SP City Jalil Imran Ghazali and led by DSP Paroa Raza Khan, SHO University Police Station Bakhtiar Khan conducted the operations. In the first operation, police arrested proclaimed offender Gul Badshah son of Abdul Mannan, a resident of Kot Kat, Tank, currently residing in Fateh. He was wanted in case No 976 of 2019, registered under Section 302 of the Pakistan Penal Code (PPC) at Shorkot Police Station. Police also recovered a 30-bore pistol and six rounds from his possession. In another action against gambling, police arrested 11 persons allegedly involved in gambling and recovered Rs15,000 staked money and eight quails from their possession, the spokesman said. In a separate operation against theft and robbery, police arrested two alleged suspects, identified as Sajawal, son of Majeed, and Fahad alias Fadi, son of Haji Shaukat. Police recovered two mobile phones, three motorcycles and a 30-bore pistol from their possession. Police is conducting raids for the arrest of other suspects allegedly involved in FIR No 362 of 2026, registered under Sections 380 and 457 of the PPC at Gomal University Police Station. Two stolen motorcycles have already been recovered. DSP Paroa Raza Khan said that indiscriminate action against criminal elements would continue and all remaining suspects involved in theft and robbery would be arrested soon. Tags:
