More Than 100 Caribbean Artists Are Coming to The Bahamas for This Art Fair

More than 100 artists from across the Caribbean and beyond are coming to Nassau this fall for the fourth edition of the FUZE Caribbean Art Fair. The event is set for Oct. 21-25 at Baha Mar, bringing together more than 20 galleries, museums and cultural institutions representing more than 10 Caribbean countries, along with participants from the wider Americas, Africa and the United Kingdom. This year's theme is 'Coming Home,' with exhibitions and installations centered on ideas of identity, belonging and connection. 'Coming Home speaks to our collective desire to reconnect—with our histories, our communities and one another,' said John Cox, vice president of arts and culture at Baha Mar. 'This year's fair is an opportunity to celebrate the extraordinary creativity of the Caribbean while creating meaningful pathways for artists, collectors, institutions and audiences to engage with one another.' Cox added that FUZE is about more than presenting art, with a broader goal of strengthening the Caribbean's cultural ecosystem and creating connections across the region and beyond. FUZE, which launched in 2023, is the official arts component of the Bahamas Culinary & Arts Festival and is organized by The Current: Baha Mar Gallery & Art Center. The 2026 edition will include painting, sculpture, photography, installation art and multidisciplinary pieces, along with panel discussions, workshops, academic presentations and other public programming. Among the featured artists are Bahamian artists Lavar Munroe, April Bey and Antonius Roberts, along with St. Martin artist Deborah Jack, Jamaican artist Charles Campbell and Desmond Beach. Participating institutions include TERN Gallery, The Current at Baha Mar and Galerie Myrtis. The fair will also continue its education program, with hundreds of students from New Providence expected to visit through support from the Baha Mar Foundation and Scotiabank. General admission starts at $35 plus VAT. A five-day Culture Guru Pass is $80 plus VAT. FUZE is part of the broader Bahamas Culinary & Arts Festival, which combines visual art with food, music and cultural programming across Baha Mar.
