LAS VEGAS (KSNV) — After 11 days of helping fight wildfires in northern Nevada, Southern Nevada firefighters have returned home. Clark County Fire Department posted online that the Southern Nevada Strike Team has returned home after helping local Elko County firefighters. They provided fire and medical coverage in the area. Firefighters from Henderson, Boulder City, North Las Vegas, Clark County, and Las Vegas were deployed in August 26 to communities in Elko, Wells, and Spring Creek. The crew made up of two Battalion Chiefs, five Engines, two Water Tenders, one Mechanic, and one Communication Technician. ___
