Over 20 dogs neglected at a LI boarding business: police

MANORHAVEN, N.Y. (PIX11) — An alleged case of animal neglect is being investigated after police went to the business on Saturday night, according to officials. At 10:44 p.m. on Saturday, police found 21 dogs located at 144 Shore Road that were allegedly in various stages of neglect, according to investigators. The address was used as a dog-boarding business, according to police. The Town of North Hempstead Animal Control and Nassau County SPCA also responded to the scene and removed all the dogs from the business. No other information was released, and the investigation is ongoing.
