SPRINGFIELD, Ill. (WICS/WRSP) - Julie E. Marshall, 41, of Springfield, who was being tried for a fatal stabbing back in June 2024, withdrew her not guilty plea to a plea of guilty.

Marshall has been sentenced to 5 years with a 2 year mandatory supervised release. She has been credited with 826 days of time served in the Sangamon County Jail.
