Suspect Wanted in a Stabbing and Several Attempted Car Jackings in Brampton

Region of Peel – Investigators from the Central Robbery Bureau (CRB) are investigating a series of attempted carjackings that occurred on Sunday, September 6, near Clockwork Drive and Creditview Road in Brampton. At approximately 10:00 p.m., the suspect attempted to carjack a vehicle with the owner seated inside. During the incident, the suspect stabbed the victim before fleeing the area on foot. The victim was transported to a local trauma center where they were treated for non life threatening injuries. The suspect then attended a nearby residence where he kicked in the front door and made demands for vehicle keys. He was unsuccessful and fled the residence. The suspect then attempted to carjack two additional vehicles in the area without success before fleeing on foot. None of these victims were injured during the attempts. The suspect is described as a South Asian male, 25 to 30 years old, with a slim build and a possible tattoo on his neck. At the time of the offences, he was wearing a grey sweater, light-coloured pants, black Crocs, a blue and white Toronto Blue Jays baseball hat, and a black messenger-style bag over his shoulder. The suspect should be considered armed and dangerous. If seen, members of the public are advised not to approach him and to call 9-1-1 immediately.
