CORAL GABLES, Fla. -- Junior cornerback OJ Frederique appeared in just two plays in No. 7 Miami's 45-6 win over Stanford on Friday before exiting with a left shoulder injury.
"OJ suffered a pretty significant injury so he will be down for quite a while," head coach Mario Cristobal said during Monday's press conference.
Junior Damari Brown was inserted when Frederique went out and is expected to continue to fill in if Frederique misses time.
Frederique appeared in 11 games with nine starts last season, missing a total of five games due to injuries including the final four games of the regular season. In 2024, he appeared in all 13 games, starting seven.
