4 arrested for manufacturing, supplying counterfeit lubricants

Keonjhar: The Keonjhar police have busted an organised racket involved in manufacturing and supplying counterfeit lubricants branded as reputed companies and arrested four persons. Addressing a press conference in Barbil on Monday, SDPO Debendra Pingua said police launched an investigation after receiving information that traders in the area were selling duplicate lubricants under well-known brand names. During raids conducted on Sept 2, police seized suspected counterfeit lubricants from three outlets in Barbil and subsequently, three cases were registered at Barbil police station. Acting on the directions of the Keonjhar SP, two special teams were formed to trace the source of the products and identify those involved in the racket.
