ALEXANDRIA — Carr's Tree Service will conduct a controlled burn at its Alexandria shop, located at 3544 Geneva Rd. NE, on Wednesday, Sept. 9. The controlled burn is part of Carr's routine operations to safely dispose of organic debris generated through its tree care and land management services. Safety remains the company's top priority. Carr's Tree Service has worked with the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources, Alexandria Fire Chief Jeff Karrow and representatives from Alexandria Township to ensure the necessary precautions are in place for the burn. Weather conditions and wind direction will be closely monitored, and the burn will be carefully managed by trained Carr's Tree Service personnel. Every effort will be made to minimize smoke and disruption to nearby residents and businesses while ensuring the burn is conducted safely and in compliance with applicable regulations. 'We understand that seeing smoke from a controlled burn can be concerning for members of the community,' Evan Amundson of Carr's Tree Service said in a press release. 'We want residents to know that this is a planned operation, and we are taking the necessary steps to conduct the burn safely and responsibly.' Carr's Tree Service appreciates the community's understanding and cooperation during the operation. Residents in the surrounding area are asked to be aware that smoke may be visible during the burn. For questions or concerns regarding the controlled burn, contact Chief Operations Officer Evan Amundson at Carr's Tree Service at 320-293-6273.
