Delta resumes Israel flights as United prepares return

U.S. airline Delta Air Lines has resumed flights to Israel: flight DL234 from New York's John F. Kennedy Airport arrived at Israel's Ben Gurion Airport at 8:43 a.m. on Monday — more than 40 minutes ahead of schedule. According to the Jerusalem Post, this was Delta's first flight to Israel since it suspended operations in March amid the U.S. and Israeli war against Iran. United passengers could reach Ben Gurion Airport via connections in Europe on flights operated by other Star Alliance carriers, including Lufthansa. European routes and Wizz Air Scandinavian Airlines plans to resume its Copenhagen–Tel Aviv route from October 26. The carrier is to operate four round-trip flights per week using Airbus A320neo aircraft. According to Walla, this frequency will be higher than before the war-related interruption. Low-cost carrier Wizz Air has also announced an expansion of its flight network to Israel. According to KAN News, the company plans to add routes to Catania, London Gatwick Airport, Venice, Cluj and Iași, as well as increase the frequency of existing flights.
