Share Three arrests have been made following a fatal crash near Edinburgh Airport. Two women aged 23 and 19 and a 32-year-old man have been arrested in connection with the crash on the A8 Glasgow Road at Newbridge near Edinburgh. The incident happened around 9.25am on Monday and involved four vehicles. The driver of one vehicle, a 58-year-old woman, was pronounced dead at the scene. Four others were taken to hospital for treatment and released. 'Inquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances.' Four other people were taken to hospital for treatment and were released. A spokesperson for the Scottish Ambulance Service said three ambulances, two special operations response teams, a paramedic response unit and a critical care paramedic were dispatched to the scene. The road was closed to allow investigation inquiries to be carried out and the vehicles to be recovered and it was re-opened around 7.05pm on Monday.Share Get involved with the news
