3 plays, 64 yards, 0:50
After gaining nothing on the first two plays of the game, Hanover struck for the first of several long TD receptions. Quarterback Eian Roudebush scrambled and spotted wide receiver DJ Grinter behind the entire Maryville secondary. Roudebush hit his target, and Grinter raced in untouched the final 34 yards of a 64-yard score. Andrew Weitzel hit the PAT kick. HC | 7-0
HC 10:27– Scotty Johnson 38 pass from Roudebush (Weitzel kick)
Five plays, 63 yards, 2:14
Roudebush was flushed again, but bought time until finding Scotty Johnson running across the back of the end zone for a 38-yard strike. After a Maryville 3-and-out, Hanover moved from its 37 to the Maryville 47 on two plays, and faced 3rd-and-1 when Roudebush improvised successfully once again. HC | 14-0
MC 6:03– Jaden McCullough 8 pass from Dabrowski (Jackson White kick)
Four plays, 20 yards, 1:55
Maryville lost a scoring chance after a fumble ended a long catch-and-run, but the MC defense stiffened, picked up a sack, and forced a punt. Luke Hensley returned 19 yards to the Hanover 20-yard line. After three short passes, tight end Jaden McCullough caught a quick slant from Jaxon Dabrowski for an 8-yard score. Jackson White converted the PAT. HC | 14-7
MC 11:43– Mushaba Zulu 31 run (White kick)
Eight plays, 71 yards, 3:05
After forcing a Hanover punt, Maryville put together its longest drive of the game. Dabrowski scrambled for 12 on a 3rd-and-10, DaRell Brown made a nice spin for extra yardage downfield on an 18-yard blast, then Zulu found the edge around the left side and raced in for a 31-yard touchdown. | 14-14
MC 7:57– Dabrowski 14 run (kick fail)
Four plays, 63 yards, 2:09.
The Scots defense picked up another sack and a 3-and-out. After the punt, Dabrowski completed pass plays of 19 and 26 yards on back-to-back plays, with tosses to Jaden Marlin and Zae Richardson. Dabrowski scrambled to his right then outraced defenders to the flag to score on the next play from 11 yards out. The PAT attempt went just wide, but the Scots had still fought back for the lead. MC | 20-14
HC 0:41– Roudebush 55 run (Clark Rexroat run)
Four plays, 64 yards, 1:09
After an exchange of punts, Hanover retook the lead on a gamble, getting a 55 yard rushing score on a 4th-and-one Roudebush scramble. The senior QB ran outside for the first down yardage, then took advantage of an excellent downfield block from receiver Grinter to find an open field down the visitors sideline. The Panthers faked the PAT kick with Rexroat running in for the 2-point try. HC | 22-20
MC 7:18– Dabrowski, 5 run (pass fail)
Five plays, 48 yards, 1:58
After both teams had opening series end in punts, Maryville retook the lead with Dabrowski again scrambling then scooting in for a 5-yard score. The big play was a 41-yard completion from the freshman QB to sophomore Casey Cobble crossing the middle. Linebacker George Marten made a nice play to break up the 2-point conversion attempt pass. MC | 26-22
HC 0:00– Don Dunning 4 run (Weitzel kick)
13 plays, 77 yards, 7:12
Hanover retook the lead for good on a grinding 13-play drive taking just over seven minutes off the clock. Two opportunities for the Scots defense to get off the field were crushed by personal fouls giving the Panthers second chances on failed third-down plays. On the drive's 13th play, Dunning took a direct snap into the middle, and the HC line pressed the scrum past the goal line. HC | 29-26
HC 2:10– Roudebush 1 run (Weitzel kick)
Nine plays, 73 yards, 5:31
Maryville started a drive on the Hanover 42 but Drabowski was intercepted on the first snap. The Panthers went on another extended drive of nine plays. A 74-yard pass play from Roudebush to Rexroat did most of the damage. Hanover had a 1st-and-goal at the Maryville 10 and needed eight plays to score on a QB sneak, after another personal foul gave Hanover new life. HC | 36-26
HC 1:19– Hosia Smith 4 fumble return (Weitzel kick)
Maryville was pinned deep after a bumbled kickoff return, and on third-and-6, Drabowski was sacked, lost the ball, and lineman Hosia Smith recovered the fumble and bowled in from 4 yards out to end the scoring. HC | 43-26
