The new foldable smartphone features a bendable display that appears like a books, moving away from typical slab design that has defined the iPhone since its introduction in 2007. The announcement comes as Apple faces mounting criticism that its products have grown stale and that the company has lost its innovative edge. It has an aspect ration of 4:3 aspect ratio when open and uses a new liquid metal hinge to make the middle crease almost invisible. When unfolded, it measures 4.5mm thick. The foldable iPhone is built on the fast A20 Pro chip processing for better speed and power and has high memory, including 12GB of RAM. The battery has a dual-battery setup totally around 4,883 mAh. It features two 48-megapixel sensors (main and ultra-wide) with no telephoto zoom lens. The front camera includes a hole-punch outer selfie camera and an inner camera. Another major difference is the replacement of Face ID with a fingerprint sensor built into the side power button.
