Pushkar Jog who is one of the most popular actors in Marathi cinema started his career as a child artist at the age of seven, when he landed a role in ' Hum Dono '. While the experience marked the beginning of his acting journey , the child actor also walked away with an unpleasant memory involving late actor Rishi Kapoor . In a recent interview, Jog recalled being reprimanded by Kapoor during a song shoot and revealed that Nana Patekar later confronted the veteran actor for shouting at him.Jog remembered how unfamiliar he was with the scale and atmosphere of a Hindi film set when he began shooting 'Hum Dono'. He had landed the role without even auditioning, thanks to Nana Patekar, who knew him from Pune.He said in an interview with Galatta India, 'Yes, Rishi Kapoor sir had scolded me at that time. I was just a 7-year-old kid. I didn't know anything. I was seeing a Hindi film set for the first time, with 100-150 people. Nana Patekar sir gave that film to me, without auditioning. He just said, 'Mera Pune ka bacha hai, vo karega yeh role (He is my child from Pune, he will only do this role)'."Jog said Kapoor's personality added to his nervousness on his first day. He added that the actor was quiet and reserved but commanded considerable presence on set, with even the adults around him seemingly intimidated.'I came for the shoot and my first day there, I remember Rishi Kapoor sir, very reserved, not talking much, and he had an aura. Everybody was scared of him. He was very blunt. I was also scared, because he looked very firm and scary."The uncomfortable encounter took place during the filming of a song featuring Kapoor and Pooja Bhatt , with Farah Khan choreographing the sequence. Jog played a garage worker in the scene, which revolved around Kapoor and Bhatt arriving in a new car.During a rehearsal, Jog accidentally dropped the flower petals he was holding onto Kapoor's head. What followed left the seven-year-old in tears.'I don't know what pissed him, but after the cut, he just snapped at me. I started crying there only. He said, 'Who have you got on the set? Who is this? At least teach him something before bringing here'," Jog recalled.Farah Khan stepped in to comfort the young actor and took him to the van. Jog's mother, who was also present on the set, was reportedly left frightened by what had happened.Since Jog shared a close bond with Nana Patekar, he later told him about the incident. Patekar, he recalled, did not let it go and decided to address the matter directly with Kapoor. Despite not being scheduled to shoot the next day, Patekar returned to the set and confronted the veteran actor.'He blasted Rishi Kapoor sir, he gave it back to him. He said, 'Whoever you are, don't you know how to treat a child? He is a 7-year-old kid, how would he know about take and rehearsal. Why would you shout at him?' But, he had that kindness and audacity to say that in front of Rishi Kapoor sir. God bless his soul, but I have this unpleasant memory with him. We all still love him and respect him," Jog shared.
