Two Arrested in Werribee Burglary, Assault Case

Police arrested two teenagers following an aggravated burglary and assault in Werribee overnight. It is alleged two male offenders, who were armed with weapons, forced entry into a property on Otterham Way about 1.15am. They allegedly assaulted one of the male occupants. The 45-year-old man was taken to hospital with non-life-threatening slash wounds. Three others were inside at the time and were not physically injured. The offenders allegedly stole car keys from the property and attempted to steal a car. Police responded and blocked the vehicle in before arresting one of the teens at the scene. The other teenager fled on foot and was arrested nearby. The 15-year-old and 14-year-old boys, both from the Wyndham area, were taken into custody to be interviewed.
