Auto mechanic fatally crushed by truck in Hicksville

A man was killed after being struck by a truck, a spokesman from the Nassau County Police Department said.
The spokesman said the man was killed in Hicksville on Monday, Sept. 7, at 880 S. Oyster Bay Road and that police received a call at 2:52 p.m. The man, who has not yet been identified, was an auto mechanic. According to the address, the man was killed at Gabrielli Truck Sales.
The spokesman said there is no criminality involved and the driver was not arrested.
