National Database and Registration Authority has introduced a new appointment booking service for citizens. The facility allows people to schedule visits to NADRA offices through the Pak ID mobile application.
Citizens can book an appointment from home before visiting a registration office. This could help reduce waiting times and long queues.
Users can select an available slot and visit the relevant office at their scheduled time.
The new feature is part of an updated version of the Pak ID app. Several other digital services have also been added.
NADRA Adds New Features to Pak ID App
According to spokesperson Shabahat Ali, the updated application offers several important services for citizens.
Users can now lodge online complaints with the Federal Investigation Agency through the app.
The application also includes new digital identity features. Citizens can access digital identity documents using the updated service.
Family record correction has also been introduced as an option. Users can upload their signatures through the application as part of the expanded digital services.
These features aim to allow citizens to complete more identity-related tasks without repeatedly visiting registration centers.
Check CNIC Application Status From Home
Citizens can also track the progress of their national identity card applications remotely. Applicants need to log in to the Pak ID application and select the tracking option.
They must then enter their tracking ID and PIN code. These details are provided on the application receipt.
The system will display the current status of the application. NADRA has also provided other options for people who want to track their applications.
Citizens can send their tracking ID through SMS to 8400.
They can also contact the authority through its 1777 helpline for application-related information.
Citizens Told to Collect Identity Cards on Time
The authority has also reminded applicants to collect their identity cards after issuance. Under the existing policy, cards should be collected within the required period.
If a card remains uncollected for three months after its final delivery date, it is destroyed.
The applicant would then need to submit a fresh application. They would also have to pay the required fee again to obtain another identity card.
The latest NADRA update expands the number of services available through the Pak ID mobile app.
Appointment booking could be particularly useful for citizens seeking to avoid long waits at registration centers.
