ALBANY, N.Y. (WNYT) — Albany firefighters quickly contained an outdoor fire involving a machine and a large mulch pile in the Port of Albany area. Albany Fire Chief Joseph Gregory said firefighters were dispatched just before 5 p.m. to 101 Normanskill St. between Keane Street and Dunham Drive. When crews arrived, firefighters found an outdoor fire involving a machine and a large mulch pile. Firefighters made an aggressive attack and knocked down the fire, containing it to the area of origin. The fire was under control by 5:25 p.m No firefighters were hurt and no civilians were hurt. The fire remains under investigation.
