Anne Hathaway, Paul Rudd, Glen Powell, Jon Hamm and Larry David headline a massive group of Hollywood stars joining Peyton Manning and Eli Manning for their latest "ManningCast" schedule reveal. Alex Weprin of The Hollywood Reporter reported Tuesday that the actors appear in "ManningCast: Heist," an "Ocean's Eleven"-style short film from Omaha Productions that reveals the schedule for the sixth season of the alternate "Monday Night Football" broadcast. The roughly 15-minute production features about 40 cameos spanning A-list actors, current and former NFL players and NFL commissioner Roger Goodell. "The tone of the heist is sort of a larger metaphor for the show itself," Omaha Productions president Jamie Horowitz told The Hollywood Reporter. "The Manningcast is meant to be a safe space, a show where everybody can just come on and talk about a love of football."According to Weprin, Omaha began planning the schedule reveal in late 2024 before production started in early 2025 at the Pro Bowl, allowing the company to begin securing its lengthy list of cameos. Omaha head of production Therese Andrews credited writer and producer DJ Gallo with developing the heist concept. Powell's involvement also continues his connection with the Mannings through "Chad Powers." Powell stars in the comedy series inspired by the Chad Powers character Eli created for an episode of ESPN's "Eli's Places," with Peyton and Eli among the executive producers through Omaha Productions. ESPN's Kalan Hooks provided additional details Tuesday about the plot of "ManningCast: Heist" and spoke with Peyton and Eli about the production. The story begins when Peyton discovers that the ManningCast has a Week 6 game scheduled on the same night as his book club. Eli suggests asking Goodell to change the schedule, but Peyton doubts the commissioner will answer his voicemail. Peyton, Eli Manning assemble star-studded crew for 'ManningCast: Heist' That leaves the brothers with another option: infiltrate NFL headquarters and hack its computer system to change their schedule. The Mannings recruit an all-star crew that includes Hathaway, Serena Williams and Houston Texans coach DeMeco Ryans. Peyton told Hooks that the concept came from the brothers' childhood interest in movies and their desire to top previous schedule reveals such as "ManningCast Auditions" and "ManningCast: The Musical." "When we weren't playing football growing up, we were watching movies," Peyton said. "It's essentially our homage to the heist and action movies we grew up watching." The star power extends well beyond Hathaway, Rudd, Powell, Hamm and David. Jason and Travis Kelce appear in the short, while the NFL contingent includes Goodell, Sean McVay, Mike McDaniel, Ryans and other current and former players and coaches. Horowitz told Weprin that Omaha's elaborate projects surrounding the ManningCast have helped attract prominent entertainers to the show. "I think part of the reason that Paul Rudd, Kevin Hart, or David Letterman appears on the Manningcast is because we do things like this," Horowitz said. "If the Manningcast was just a football show, Peyton and Eli probably could still recruit lots of great people." The sixth season will culminate with another milestone for Peyton and Eli. The brothers told Hooks they will broadcast their first Super Bowl ManningCast when Super Bowl LXI takes place in Los Angeles, adding another major event to Omaha Productions' expanding version of the alternate broadcast.
