East Windsor officers pull unresponsive driver from burning vehicle

EAST WINDSOR, Conn. (WFSB) - Two East Windsor police officers pulled an unresponsive driver from a burning vehicle in East Windsor on August 31st. Officers Devin arrived to the area of Bridge Street at 4:14 a.m. after a report of a crash, according to the police department. When crews arrived, they found a burning vehicle, with the driver seat-belted in, breathing but unresponsive. Sergeant Tessier arrived to assist, and the two officers removed the driver from the vehicle, police said. The vehicle became fully engulfed in fire within minutes after the driver was pulled from the vehicle, police said. Officials said the driver has been released from the hospital and is recovering at home. No further details were released. Eyewitness News will provide more details as soon as they become available.
