Independent Report QUETTA , Sept 7: Deputy Commissioner Quetta Mehrullah Badini has directed officials to maintain strict quality standards in ongoing development projects, accelerate construction activities and ensure that schemes are completed within their approved timelines. He issued the directives while chairing a meeting to review progress on development schemes in the city and the establishment of a modern IT lab. Assistant Commissioner City Quetta Amir Hamza, XEN City and other relevant officials attended the meeting. The XEN City briefed the meeting on the progress of various development projects, ongoing construction activities, implementation issues and measures being taken to complete the schemes. The participants reviewed the pace and quality of construction work, improvements in civic infrastructure and facilities, and progress toward completing projects aimed at serving the public. Badini ordered continuous monitoring of all development schemes and called for regular progress reports to ensure that delays were identified and addressed promptly. He emphasized that construction quality must be maintained throughout every stage of project execution. The Deputy Commissioner said development schemes play an important role in improving civic services and public facilities and directed officials to ensure that approved targets are achieved within the stipulated timeframe. The meeting also reviewed progress on the proposed modern IT lab. Badini directed the concerned authorities to design and equip the facility according to current technological and digital requirements, keeping in view the growing importance of information technology. He further instructed relevant departments to improve coordination, promptly resolve obstacles affecting project implementation and ensure that all construction work meets prescribed quality standards and completion schedules.
