A road outside Gorey, Co. Wexford is set to be temporarily closed to road users for just under five months to facilitate works.
The road closure, which was announced by Wexford County Council will see the closure of the Camolin Road (L1027-3/4) at Mount forest, near Ballycanew, Co. Wexford to vehicular traffic from Tuesday, September 1 and will remain in place until January 29, 2027.
Wexford County Council have said the road will be closed to facilitate the installation of ducting and joint bays at Mount forest.
The works are currently projected to take almost five months to complete.
Alternative routes which can be taken include using the L1026-1/2/3, L1024-4/5/6/7/8 or the R741-30/31 roads.
Alternative routes will be signposted, while local access will be facilitated during this period.
Drivers are asked to give extra time when on the road as they may experience some minor delays while the works are being carried out.
Any changes which may take place throughout the duration of the works will be updated through Wexford County Council's live text alert service.
