LSU redshirt freshman wide receiver Phillip Wright III's late-game performance against Clemson was hard to ignore.
The speedy and dynamic 6-foot, 174-pound route runner caught three passes for 70 yards and a 33-yard touchdown, all coming in the fourth quarter of LSU's 51-10 dominant victory.
When Lane Kiffin arrived at LSU, the shot-caller added nine transfer wide receivers to reshape the position room. But Kiffin also made sure to keep Wright on the roster, making him the only pass catcher from LSU's 2025 roster to remain with the Tigers, despite appearing in just two games the previous season.
And on Saturday, Wright showed why Kiffin had a certain level of confidence in the former blue-chip recruit out of Destrehan.
