The NY Loves Canada campaign is offering discounts to Canadian visitors as businesses work to rebuild cross-border tourism, according to Spectrum News 1.
Tourism Economics reported that Canadian spending in New York fell by $480 million in 2025, while overall visitor spending in Niagara County declined 5%.
Whirlpool Jet Boat Tours was Niagara County's only participating business at the time of the report, and Destination Niagara USA is encouraging others to join.
Erie County tourism has increased, with Visit Buffalo crediting part of that growth to advertising in direct-flight markets including Boston, Philadelphia and Washington.
The campaign offers deals throughout September, with some discounts continuing through December.
