It has forced many to make unplanned or escorted landings, although none of the threats immediately proved to be genuine. According to a report by the Independent, bomb threats forced more emergency flight landings across Europe on Thursday morning, the latest in a series of threats to planes in the continent. Reports of bomb alerts against flights across the region are still coming in as of 11am on Thursday, with two Milan-bound flights landing safely following threats. The outlet further reported flights from London, Dublin, Madrid, Copenhagen and Helsinki, were also among those that made emergency landings in France, Bulgaria and Belgium. The fresh threats came hours after Harry and his wife Meghan announced they will speak in Brussels about the dangers children face on social media. The couple will attend the Tuesday opening of a video installation commemorating children who have lost their lives due to harm experienced via social media, the spokesperson said. They will open The Lost Screen Memorial at the European Parliament displaying images of children affected by online abuse and exploitation and give a joint speech before taking part in a panel event with international activists.
