Corbin has been one of WWE's top wrestlers and is also a former NFL player. His aggression got him booted from the game, and Corbin has found the perfect outlet for his rage in WWE and the perfect target for it in, well, anyone and everyone who crosses his path. He was last seen in action against Trick Williams. Although Baron Corbin lost the United States Championship to Trick Williams, he isn't dwelling on the defeat. Instead, he's grateful WWE gave him another chance to return and continue his wrestling career there. He has also discussed how WWE brought him back and believes that his current multi-year contract is the final deal of his wrestling career. Corbin recently spoke with Adam Barnard of TheSportster ahead of Sunday Night's Main Event , reflecting on his WWE return and his ambitions for his latest run. The former United States Champion made his comeback at SummerSlam 2026, defeating Trick Williams to capture the United States Championship. Speaking about signing his new multi-year deal, Corbin explained that he returned to WWE with several unfinished goals, and among them, becoming a world champion is a goal that he is looking forward to. However, Corbin admitted that he views his current contract differently from previous deals. The 41-year-old star acknowledged that he does not want to remain in the ring beyond the point where he can perform at his best. He wants to accomplish his unfinished goals. Speaking to The Sportster, Corbin added, 'They were like, 'Yeah, we're going to have you come to SummerSlam. That's going to be your first match back.' And I was like, 'I'm not going to believe it until it happens,' and then it did. You see the picture, and it's like, 'Oh my god, this is it. This is going to be a great run for me. Signing a good multi-year deal, coming back, I'm going to really accomplish something. I have a lot of unfinished goals. " He further added, "I was never a world champion. I need to have that on my list of accomplishments. So, coming back and making a statement at SummerSlam in front of all those people, it was unreal,' Baron Corbin said about his WWE return match. Like, realistically, how much time do I have left to do this before I'm a step slower or I'm not able to bring my A game and the physicality I want? I never want to be a guy that hangs on too long. I want to be at 110% when I walk through those curtains.' Despite viewing his current contract as potentially his last, Corbin appears determined to make the most of the opportunity, as his current WWE run is a limited window.
