The prominent coastal Clare town of Kilkee will see the launch of the 'Kilkee Then and Now' booklet and exhibition on Monday, November 9.
Clare County Council is inviting the public to attend the launch, which will take place at 6.30pm on Monday in the Kilkee Library.
The 'Kilkee Then and Now' project captures the rich heritage of the Clare town - bringing together historical photographs, local stories and contemporary images to showcase how the town has evolved over the years while retaining its unique character and sense of community.
The booklet and accompanying exhibition have been developed as part of the Adult Literacy for Life initiative, supported by SOLAS, demonstrating how local history projects can encourage learning, community engagement and the sharing of knowledge across generations and cultures.

'We are deeply grateful for the invaluable contribution of all participants, whose memories, photographs and personal reflections have helped create a lasting record of Kilkee's past and present for generations to come.'
The 'Kilkee Then and Now' exhibition and booklet will be officially launched by Mayor of Clare Joe Killeen.
Members of the public who attend this free event will meet contributors to the project, are welcome to view the exhibition and will receive a copy of the 'Kilkee Now and Then' booklet.
