V60 B3 2021 rear suspension clunking noise after new shocks

My independent (non-Volvo) workshop installed new Sachs 350180 rear shocks together with new top mounts on my car. The rear end is now clunking when driving over low-speed bumps both inbound and outbound phases.
They replaced the shocks with another new pair, but the clunking is still there. The bolts were tightened with the control arms at normal ride height.
The car currently has 157,000 km on the odometer.
The workshop has now given up and does not want to continue with the diagnosis...
