Tennessee baseball landed its first recruit in the class of 2028 when catcher Logan Arnett committed to the Vols on Sept. 7. Arnett announced his decision in an Instagram post captioned, "No Place Like Rocky Top… GO VOLS!" Arnett is from Acworth, Georgia, and plays for Harrison High School in Kennesaw, Georgia. He visited Tennessee from Sept 5-6 and decided on the Vols quickly, becoming the first member of coach Josh Elander's 2028 recruiting class. Tennessee's 2027 class currently has 11 commits and is ranked by Perfect Game as the nation's No. 8 class after having the No. 3 class in 2026. Arnett is listed at 6-foot-2, 190 pounds and also plays first base and outfield in addition to catcher. He is ranked by Perfect Game as the No. 125 overall player and No. 11 catcher in his class. Prep Baseball Report ranks him as the No. 7 catcher from Georgia. Emmett Siegel covers Tennessee baseball for Knox News. Email: emmett.siegel@knoxnews.com; X: @EmmettSiegel_
