Safe Futures' Oct. 4 Walk Supports Those Affected by Domestic Violence Across Southeastern CT

Photo courtesy of Safe Futures. WATERFORD, CT — Safe Futures will hold its annual Safe Walk Sunday, Oct. 4, at Arnold Holm Jr. Memorial Park/Duck Pond in Waterford. Same-day registration and a craft fair begin at 8 a.m., with the walk starting at 9 a.m. The event will feature local vendors, basket raffles and breakfast food trucks. Registration is $25 for adults. There is no cost for children under 18 and students. Participants are encouraged to form teams and use fundraising tools available through registration to help Safe Futures reach its $50,000 goal. Anyone who raises at least $100 will receive a free Safe Futures T-shirt. The walk recognizes National Domestic Violence Awareness Month, with proceeds supporting Safe Futures' programs serving people affected by domestic violence, sexual assault, stalking, trafficking, elder abuse and child abuse in Southeastern Connecticut.
