Eastern Cape, 8 September 2026: The South African National Roads Agency SOC Limited (SANRAL) wishes to advise all road users and surrounding communities that blasting activities will be carried out on the above-mentioned project at the Msikaba South Haul Road, between KM 30 and KM 31, on Friday, the 11th of September 2026, between 14h00 and 15h00. To ensure the safety of road users and to allow adequate time for blasting and clean-up operations, the road will be temporarily closed between KM 30 and KM 31 on the Msikaba Haul Road for approximately one hour. Please note that there are no suitable alternative routes within this section. 'Motorists are asked to plan their trips accordingly and to exercise caution when using the road,' said Kayakazi Mafuta, SANRAL Eastern Cape's Provincial Head. SANRAL apologises for any inconvenience caused. -ENDS _______________________________________________________________________________________ For editorial content or additional information contact: pressoffice@nra.co.za
