Ukraine Appoints Hanna Hvozdiar as Deputy Defense Minister for Defense Industry and Exports

The staffing decision was announced by the government's permanent representative in the Verkhovna Rada, Taras Melnychuk. Hanna Hvozdiar's Professional Experience Hvozdiar has already worked at the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine. She served as deputy minister from July 2025 to January 2026. Before that, from September 2023 to July 2025, Hanna Hvozdiar served as deputy minister for strategic industries of Ukraine. Since 2020, she had headed Serhiy Prytula's charitable foundation, serving as its director. New Appointments at the Ministry of Defense On July 29, the government also appointed Liubov Halan and Serhii Boiev as new deputy ministers of defense. Serhii Boiev will be responsible for European integration, while Liubov Halan will oversee the development and preservation of the defense forces' human capital. Mykola Shvydkyi was also appointed deputy minister of defense. Thus, the government continued renewing the leadership team of the defense ministry.
