The South African Weather Service has issued weather updates stating rain is expected in some provinces this week. IMPACT-BASED WARNINGS NIL FIRE DANGER WARNINGS NIL ADVISORIES NIL Gauteng can expect cloudy and cool with isolated showers and rain The expected UVB Sunburn Index is Low Mpumalanga, the Place of the Rising Sun, can expect morning fog patches along the escarpment, otherwise cloudy and cool to cold with isolated showers and rain. In Limpopo, morning fog patches along the escarpment, otherwise cloudy and cool with isolated showers and rain. North West North West, known as Bokone Bophirima in Setswana, can expect cloudy and cool, becoming partly cloudy in the afternoon, with isolated showers and rain in the east. Free State In the Free State, morning fog patches in the extreme east, otherwise cloudy to partly cloudy with isolated showers and rain except in the west. Northern Cape Cloudy with morning fog along the coast, otherwise partly cloudy, windy and cool to warm but fine and hot in the west. The wind along the coast will be light and variable. Western Cape Partly cloudy over the north-eastern parts, otherwise fine and warm to hot. The wind along the coast will be light to moderate northerly to northeasterly along the south coast, otherwise moderate southerly to south-easterly. The expected UVB sunburn index is Very High. Eastern Cape The Western half: Fine and warm. The wind along the coast will be Light and variable. The Eastern half: Morning fog in places in the east, otherwise fine and warm but cool in the north. The wind along the coast will be light to moderate north-easterly. Morning fog over the interior, otherwise partly cloudy and cool to warm with isolated showers and rain in the north. The wind along the coast will be moderate to fresh northerly to north-easterly becoming strong south of Durban by mid-morning, spreading north. The expected UVB Sunburn Index is High Forecast data provided by the South African Weather Service.
