Manoj Jamsutkar Criticizes VHPs Navratri Call, Warns Against Caste-Based Divisions

Mumbai, September 8 (Daily Kiran) : Mumbai's Shiv Sena (UBT) MLA, Manoj Jamsutkar, has sharply criticized the recent announcement by the Vishva Hindu Parishad (VHP) regarding Navratri celebrations. He accused the organization of attempting to create divisions in society based on caste and religion. In his response, Jamsutkar highlighted the harmonious coexistence of diverse communities in metropolitan areas like Mumbai, where people from various castes and religions celebrate each other's festivals. He pointed out that neighborhoods, including Bhaykhala, have a rich tradition of social harmony, where residents come together to share in each other's joys. Jamsutkar expressed concern over initiatives that seek to dictate who may participate in social or religious events, stating that such actions only foster division. He emphasized that no political party or organization has ownership over any caste or religion, as every community has its own leaders and representatives guiding them. Addressing the recent building collapse in Delhi, he termed it an administrative failure. He stressed the importance of adhering to safety standards and obtaining necessary permits during construction or renovation. Jamsutkar insisted that if contractors or developers neglect their responsibilities, tragic incidents will continue to occur. He called for accountability from both the government and the administration in this regard. Responding to rumors about joining the Shinde faction, Jamsutkar categorically dismissed them. He stated that such speculations often arise from individuals seeking publicity. He affirmed his commitment to the Mahavikas Aghadi coalition, stating that he was elected as their candidate and remains loyal to that alliance. On the topic of student movements, Jamsutkar noted the significant protests across the country, which prompted the government to reconsider its stance. He declared that students and youth are the future of the nation and called for strict action against those jeopardizing their prospects.
