Uttarakhand: Final voter list to be published on October 3

Dehradun, Sep 7 (PTI) Uttarakhand's Chief Electoral Officer Dr BVRC Purushottam announced on Monday that the final publication of the voter list in the state will take place on October 3. He said that according to the previously issued schedule, the final voter list was to be published on September 15 under the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) campaign, but the date has now been postponed. The chief electoral officer said that hearings have been completed for more than 99 per cent of the 2.43 million (24.30 lakh) notices issued in the state, while the process for 40 per cent of Forms 6, 7, and 8 has also been concluded.
