WILLINGTON, Conn. (WFSB) - Emergency crews responded to a medical emergency in a wooded area in Willington on Monday morning. First responders were called to the railroad tracks near Route 32 (River Road) at around 11:05 a.m. after a report of a person with traumatic injuries, according to the fire department. When crews arrived, they found the individual in a densely wooded area and was removed by fire personnel with assistance from a resident's UTV. Officials said the person was airlifted to a nearby hospital for treatment. No further details were released. Eyewitness News will provide more details as soon as they become available.
