Heavy rain in tehsil Matta of Swat wreaked havoc on Wednesday after another portion of Sakhra Bridge was washed away, reported 24NewsHD TV channel. The bridge had been rebuilt after it collapsed last year due to heavy rains and floods. Locals have demanded the authorities to build the bridge on a permanent basis. Rain forecast for Islamabad The weather department on Wednesday forecast heavy rainfall for Islamabad. It said that the minimum temperature in the city was recorded at 19 degrees Celsius, while the maximum temperature was expected to go up to 27 degrees Celsius. The department said that breeze would blow in the federal capital at the speed of seven kilometers per hour, while the level of moisture was recorded at over 78 per cent. Heat, humidity persists in Karachi On the other hand, weather in Karachi is extremely hot and humid as there is no sea breeze. The maximum temperature in the city on Wednesday was expected to touch 34 degrees Celsius mark, while the minimum temperature was recorded at 28 degrees Celsius. The level of moisture in the air stood at 78 per cent. Rain predicted for upper parts of country Meanwhile, the Met Office has predicted rainfall for upper areas of the country.
