Fire Destroys Cargo Truck in Zaranj

A cargo truck was completely destroyed in a fire in Zaranj, the capital of Nimroz province, leaving around 5 million afghanis in material losses. Police spokesman Mawlawi Mohammad Qudrat said on Tuesday that the incident took place along the 60-metre road in the third security district of Zaranj. According to him, one vehicle was completely destroyed in the fire, but goods worth about 1 million afghanis were saved from the flames. The police spokesman said technical problems with the vehicle caused the fire.
