Fatal crash on A8 Glasgow Road – police make three arrests

Police have arrested two women aged 23 and 19 years and a 32-year-old man in connection with a crash on the A8 Glasgow Road at Newbridge near Edinburgh. The incident happened around 9.25am on Monday, 7 September, and involved four vehicles. The driver of one vehicle, a 58-year-old woman, was pronounced dead at the scene. Four others were taken to hospital for treatment and released. Sergeant Mike Thomson said: 'Our thoughts remain with the family of the woman who died.
