The position had recently fallen vacant. Susan Rutto's career at NCA Rutto is one of NCA's founding staff members, having joined the authority at its inception. Before joining the NCA, she worked at the Ministry of Transport, Infrastructure, Housing, Urban Development and Public Works, where she served as a Superintending Quantity Surveyor. Rutto's qualifications and professional standing Rutto holds a Master of Business Administration from the Management University of Africa and a Bachelor of Arts in Building Economics and Management from the University of Nairobi. She is a Registered Quantity Surveyor with the Board of Registration of Architects and Quantity Surveyors (BORAQS) Kenya, a licensed Lead Expert in Environmental Impact Assessment, and a Corporate Member of the Institute of Quantity Surveyors of Kenya (IQSK). "The board is confident that Qs. Rutto's institutional knowledge, leadership experience and understanding of the construction industry will provide the Authority with the continuity and strategic direction needed during this transition," NCA said.
